Tyla Rattray signs new contract with KTM

Article ajouté le 30/04/2004

Tyla will race on the factory 250cc fourstroke KTM that has had a sensational debut this season, racing to victory in three of the four first GP's. The exclusive machine is not available to the public yet, and a factory contract aboard the fourstroke KTM is one of the most sought-after prizes in professional motocross racing.

The eighteen year old has had a successful relationship with KTM since he moved up to the 125cc class in 2000. He secured factory backing for 2004, and is KTM's star two stroke rider in the world series. He scored his first world championship victory at the GP of Spain, and followed this up with a second place at Valkenswaard last weekend.

Tyla was delighted to get the important contractual issues behind him. "I am happy that we finalised the contract early in the season," he said. "I can now concentrate on my racing, and will continue to strive for the best possible results on my trusty two stroke KTM this season. I am very excited about the opportunity to race the fourstroke KTM next year, and I think it will be the perfect weapon with which to fight for the world title."
